Kayla Morse Higgs leads Nu Balance Consulting, where she expertly bridges mindset, skills, and strategy through her leadership coaching. As a coach and consultant, she guides senior leaders to overcome mindset barriers and transform behaviors, enhancing their professional growth and organizational impact. With over a decade of experience as an educator, coach, and nonprofit director, Kayla utilizes her relational acumen and process-oriented approach to promote equity in leadership spaces. She has had the privilege to work with school districts through the MA Dept of Secondary and Elementary Education as a Leadership Consultant, Independent Instructional and Change Management Consultant with select Boston Public Schools, and Speaker and Workshop Facilitator with international schools and nonprofit organizations around the globe.
Kayla, a recognized thought leader, has had insights on equity and educational transformation featured in the digital editions of Educational Leadership magazine and Education Post. Her academic background includes a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute of Nonprofit Practice affiliated with Tufts University, a Master of Education from UMass Boston, and a bachelor’s degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida. Outside of her professional life, Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Pepper, and volunteering with her faith community and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
