Mia Roberts is a Certified Senior Coach at Accelerated College Experiences (ACE). Her career is built on the belief that virtually all people are capable of brilliance and the knowledge that we achieve our potential through positive significant relationships with others. Mia’s extensive nonprofit leadership experience includes her current role on the Senior Management Team at Big Sister Association of Greater Boston where she is responsible for recruiting mentors to serve 2000 girls annually through corporate, community and government partnerships; and conducting quality assurance for all program services.
A seasoned trainer and facilitator, Mia has provided training and consulting services to executive leadership, educators, front-line staff, and parent groups throughout the US. These include K-12 institutions, community-based organizations, foundations, higher education, and corporate employee resource groups. Mia is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BA in Business Administration and has more than 15 years’ experience in financial management and human resource administration in the corporate sector. She has served on the Board of Directors of Freedom House, Inc. a Boston-based organization dedicated to youth development and community capacity building. She has received Outstanding Leadership Awards from the Detroit Public Schools, the Dayton-Hudson Corp. and the Efficacy Institute Inc. She has also received citations for Meritorious Service from the City of Detroit and the State of Michigan.
